Set up your booth

Here as some steps to take to set up your sound booth to start recording your sermons.

With a mixing board

If you have an existing mixing board, it is rather easy to hook up a 3.5mm cord to one of your outputs and hook it up to your computers line-in or mic input. If your board has a Monitor output, you can use a male to male cable to connect the Monitor to your computer, then use the monitor control to control the input volume. You can also use a 1/4 in to 3.5mm adapter to take audio from one of the AUX outputs, and plug the other end of the 3.5mm into a computer, using the fader for input volume.

Without a mixing board

So what if you have no mixing board? How can you start recording your sermons easily without spending thousands on a expensive mixing board and equipment.

If you are using wireless mic system, check to see if it has a 1/4 output that you can plug an adapter into. has some good wireless mics.

Another easier solution is to get a laptop, and a mic. Plug the mic into the mic input of the laptop, and place it on the podium. Install MP3 Sermon Suite onto the laptop and start recording!

Whichever route you choose, MP3 Sermon Suite, and ProSermon will make any setup professional quality.
